Democracy

5P learned about democracy and what this means in action by carrying out a fair election in which we voted for our School Council Representative.

Graffiti workshop

Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic graffiti art workshop where they produced some excellent spray paint paintings, representing their names.

Starfish Project – Week 2

This week year 5 worked with Fiona to develop our confidence when speaking in public. We learned the best ways to speak in front of an audience and all grew our confidence whilst having fun.

Starfish Project – Week 1

This week, year 5 were lucky enough to participate in The Starfish Project. This week we the poet Neal Zetter in school to lead a poetry workshop. We loved writing and performing poems about different animals and Kenning poems about different foods.

Here’s what some of the children said:

I think I have built up more confidence. I liked that we had fun while learning something.
