As you will be aware, we have had confirmation from the Department for Education that we are required to close the school from Monday 23rd March as part of the national closure of schools in response to the coronavirus. It is important that this closure does not mean that children will miss their learning and therefore the teachers have provided some ideas for the children to do while at home. We will be arranging communication with pupils from next week and will confirm arrangements for this very soon. However if you need to get in touch at any time, the children can email us through their Purple Mash accounts or you can email email@example.com.
If you are in need of support with any essential services please follow the link below to fill in a form from Enfield Council.

Welcome to our updated website, we hope you find it informative.
We are a two form entry primary school situated in the Enfield Deanery, and part of the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), serving a diverse community and pupil population. We have a stunning, bright and spacious new building equipped for 21st century learning. We are well supported by the Diocese and Local Authority and have a supportive Governing Body.
We were graded a school Requiring Improvement to become good (Ofsted February 2018). We were graded an Outstanding Church of England school (SIAMS September 2015) .
We are working hard to improve pupil performance at the end of KS1 and KS2 as we aim for our children to achieve and succeed.
Our recent Ofsted inspection (February) concluded that in order for us to be even better we need to:
- Improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching.
- Improve outcomes in reading, writing and mathematics
- Continue to decrease the rate of persistent absence.
- Improve pupils’ ability to regulate their own behaviour so that they behave equally well with and without adult supervision.
We aim to be outstanding in all that we do. Our staff work hard and are ambitious for all our children to achieve and succeed while here at St John & St James. We hope you get a flavour of our journey to success through visiting the pages of our website. Join us, whether as a pupil, a parent, a colleague or a member of the local community in our journey to outstanding.
Whilst there have been a few leadership changes this term, we would like to reassure you that we are still working hard to support children and families, through continuing the good work that Mrs Knightley started before her retirement last term. Please pop in for a chat or raise any questions or concerns you may have, we always welcome feedback!
If you have any queries or concerns please contact the school office by calling us on 0208 807 2578 to make an appointment with the Headteacher, Mrs P Cuncarr. Alternatively you can email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
