St John and St James Church of England Primary School

Dear Parent/Carer/Friend,

Welcome to our updated website, we hope you find it informative.

We are newly established two form entry primary school situated in the Enfield Deanery, and part of the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), serving a diverse community and pupil population. We have a stunning, bright and spacious new building equipped for 21st century learning. We are well supported by the Diocese and Local Authority and have a supportive Governing Body.

We are a Good school (Ofsted September 2014) and an Outstanding Church of England school (SIAMS September 2015) currently meeting the government’s floor standards for pupil performance at the end of KS1 and KS2 but we are working hard to do even better!

Our recent Ofsted inspection (September 2014) concluded that in order for us to be even better we need to:

  • Further improve standards in mathematics to the levels we have in reading and writing. We want all our children to excel in all areas;
  • Challenge our more able students;
  • Ensure all our leaders use of performance data so that our children make even better progress and the quality of teaching raises achievement particularly in mathematics and in our early years.
