Extra Curricular Activities
At St John and St James, we are proud to offer a wide range of after-school clubs to inspire, challenge, and engage our pupils. From cooking and chess to football and film, our clubs give children the chance to try something new, develop new skills, and showcase their individual talents.
Many of our clubs are delivered by specialist external providers, including The Impact Team, Ballistic Ballers, and Perfecting Potential, ensuring high-quality experiences led by experts in their fields.
Taking part in clubs plays an important role in children’s personal development. Clubs help pupils build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and independence. They provide structured opportunities to explore interests, discover hidden strengths, and form positive relationships beyond the classroom. Most importantly, they offer a safe, supportive space where children can have fun while growing both socially and academically.

Our clubs have opened the door to a wide range of exciting opportunities for our pupils. Through these activities, children have taken part in football and chess tournaments, visited professional stadiums, carried out market research to design their own healthy smoothies, and even travelled to the West End to watch Wicked. These enriching experiences help bring learning to life and create lasting memories for our children.
