Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At St John and St James CE Primary School, we are proud of our inclusive culture. We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners and have high expectations for all children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our aim is that our children with additional needs will be supported to experience life in all its fullness, both during their time with us and in their future lives in the world.

Our SEND information report offers more detailed guidance:

Meet the SENDCo/Inclusion Leader

Welcome to St John and St James! I’m Mrs Woolley – I’m one of the Assistant Head Teachers and also the SENDCo and Inclusion Leader.

A key part of my role in school is coordinating the provision for our children with SEND and those with other barriers to learning, such as having English as an additional language (EAL). If you have any queries regarding your child’s needs and any barriers they may have to their learning, please make an appointment to meet with me through the school office.

Support in the community

All Enfield schools are supported by the local authority to ensure that all pupils make the best possible progress in school and are given the greatest chance to meet their potential. Further information and details of the support for young people and their families regarding SEND can be found in the Local Offer managed by Enfield Council.
