Secondary Transition Information

We understand that the transition to secondary school can feel daunting for both children and parents. At St John and St James, we are here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Each autumn term, we hold an annual meeting for parents to explain the secondary transfer process and how to complete the online application. From the start of the new academic year until the October half-term break, Mrs Glover is available to offer personalised support and answer any questions you may have.

Applications must be submitted by 31st October via the eAdmissions portal (https://www.eadmissions.org.uk). If you need help accessing or completing the application, please contact the school office.

We also provide families with a paper copy of all the Enfield secondary school open day information. We strongly encourage you to visit several schools with your child so you can make an informed decision together. When applying, we advise all parents to use all six preferences, as there is no guarantee of securing your first choice.

This is an important milestone for you and your child, and our team is here to offer support, reassurance, and guidance throughout the process.
