Our Bubble Babies Return

Look at all our amazing children doing their learning at home.  Remember not all learning happens in books. There is so much children can learn from doing activities together.

Here’s some fun, no screen activities for you to do at home:  Non_screen_activities_from_Pobble.pdf

School Learners

New this week- 18th May -22nd May 2020

The weather this week has been so lovely that we have taken our teaching outside.

Our upper KS2 pupils played ‘Metaphor and Simile Football’ with Ms Glover to support their writing and produce a monologue about their experiences in school recently.

Our lower KS2 pupils had an exciting maths lesson with Mr Hannam learning about Fractions.

Thank You Letters to NHS

During our literacy lesson on Tuesday we wrote thank you letters to the NHS. As a group we wrote a letter to a nurse who works at a hospital local to the school. Please see our letter below. We look forward to receiving our reply.

Zoom Poetry Workshop- Niburu London

This week some of the children took part in a virtual poetry session with Niburu London. The session was fun and enjoyable as the children had to create a poem as a group, but they didn’t know what the other group was doing. It was an interesting experience planning, writing and up levelling their work. It was great to see children express themselves creatively reflecting on the word happiness.

6JB Class Zoom

Thank you to all the pupils in 6JB for taking part. It was lovely to see you all!

This weeks exciting learning

This week at school the pupils took part in a variety of activities. We took part in a Podcast workshop with former Choice FM DJ- Martin Jay. Pupils in KS2 took part in numerous Science experiments. They investigated which materials were soluble and insoluble, as well as, creating their own experiments to test if the temperature of water affects the speed of dissolving. KS1 planted seeds and we will continue to watch them grow over the coming weeks.

Our music lessons were extremely exciting, as pupils bodies became the musical instruments.
